Dance Floor Deals
I got a call from a prospect wanting to hire me for seven events next year. It’s a perfect fit client with the ideal audience (and a big fat budget). Santa has come early for this little keynote elf (despite the fact that I am undoubtedly on the naughty list)!
And the deal was born on the dance floor.

Last summer I spoke at an industry conference that hosted several dance socials. When a tasty groove starts playing, Imma gonna let my freak flag fly; I can’t help it (and my hips can’t either). Clearly I made an impression based on the number of people who came up to me the next day to say hi and compliment my Solid Gold-like dance moves (and bravery!)
The planner didn’t even sit in on my session, knowing nothing about me other than I’m fun, courageous, and a kick-butt dancer. Her doors got blown off when I told her how I deliver inspiring, powerful messages on mindful productivity that makes the audience the stars.
Deals are done all the time on golf courses. Or in bars. Or on dance floors. Buyers are people first, and they want to work with people who are real. Who are fun. And who make a positive impression on others.
