How to Crystallize a Life: Using a Word of the Year
As we nudge ever closer to the beginning of 2023, I have given some thought as to what I want to crystallize in my life and business. From improving my physical and mental health to elevating my coaching practice to healing some tender heart-wounds to doing what Vanessa Shaw, CEO of The Business Growth Academy and one of my dear badass sisters from The Dames, calls “Living Richly”, I came up with a single word that encapsulates it all for me right now.
EMBODIMENT.
The definition of embodiment is “a tangible or visible form of an idea, quality, or feeling.” My focus for 2023 is to become the physical embodiment of vitality, creativity, and joy. When I bring these facets INTO MY BODY, they will manifest everywhere else, including in my business and with all of the people I am blessed to share my life and vocation.
In order to keep this crystallized Word of the Year top of mind, I have written it on my trusty dry erase board. (I also took a pic of it for my phone’s wallpaper to remind me when I’m on the road.)
For me, everything starts in the heart, the place where my spirit resides.
The five essential aspects I have committed to embody on a daily basis are:
Physical - Do activities like yoga, foam rolling, walking, dancing, or even deep hungry breaths of some fresh air
Mental - Focus on the quality of my thoughts, choosing only those that support what I want to create in my life
Emotional - Feel all the feels, even if they are super ouchie
Spiritual - Meditate regularly to stay centered, gain clarity, and feel Divine Presence
Financial - Examine my green energy containers both personally and professionally and make conscious decisions accordingly
