Sweet Karma In Action
Last week I wrote a post about getting jilted on Valentine’s Day and how I pivoted towards joy. It received a lot of attention with 11,000+ views on LinkedIn over the last four days. This prompted all sorts of interesting opportunities, including several messages from men who happily offered make up for my date’s poor behavior. However, I also got on WCCO radio and even received juicy inquiries about my speaking from organizations who want me to spread that same message of empowerment and intentional pivoting to their teams.
HA! I’m actually gonna make some money from that fiasco. Thanks, Valentine! ;)

Seirously, it’s amazing how being real and true to who you are resonates with others. In our culture where content is carefully manipulated, a woman being honest about getting stood up on Valentine’s Day (and her spunky resolve to enjoy the night anyway) cuts through the noise to make a powerful impact.
If you want to magnetize those around you (whether it’s your customers, team members, colleagues, or even dating prospects), don’t be afraid to boldly show your realness. Be honest. Own your vulnerability and make purposeful choices to uplevel your mindset. People will respond. They will Like you. They will swipe right. They will call. It’s worth it.
